Presley has been to "Kid's Day Out" now 3 different times. I can't say that she is loving it yet, but I don't think she's totally hating it.
Last week was rough. Not only did she fuss a lot when Drew dropped her off, but her teachers said she cried a lot during the day. That just makes me sad. Then once she got home we saw that she had a huge scratch/bruise on her chin. Drew told me that no one had said anything about what happened. This made me mad! I understand my child is going to get hurt. She is a monkey! But I expected that they would at least know what happened. So I had to be "that" parent and e-mail the director. I was very nice and just said that I was concerned that no one knew what had happened. She was very nice about it and assured me she would check into it. The next morning (after I sent her a picture of Presley's booboo to really make sure she understood how bad it was) we figured it probably happened during the fire drill. They said she was crying and upset but that most kids were. So I'm guessing she fell and they just thought she was scared. I'm pretty sure I've now put a huge mark on Presley and everyone there is watching her more closely. And I'm ok with that!
This week was better. Drew said she didn't scream and cry when he dropped her off. She just whimpered and did a little crying. He had to pay after he dropped her off so he was able to peek in on her. He said she didn't look happy but that she wasn't crying. So that's improvement! Every week they say that is eating nothing! (not a surprise) They have said that she has napped each week, but I'm not certain. She had her first peepee accident today which is pretty good.
I'm hoping that we will keep having improvement each week. I told Drew this is one of those times when we really are trying to be good parents and do what is best for her. It's just so hard when I feel like she hates it!
On a side note, this adorable shirt that Presley is wearing came from my best friend, Kristen. She found this shirt when Presley was a tiny baby and just had to get it. It's a red-headed little girl holding a camera. What could be more appropriate?
I love my life! I have a beautiful daughter who is one years old. I have been married to the man of my dreams for 4 years. I love the Lord with all of my heart and I'm constantly striving to live out that love.
